1920s Vintage Polka Dot "Art Silk" Bow Tie
The term "Art Silk" was created to describe this "New" "Amazing" "Futuristic" fiber (Rayon) more than 100 years ago. The term had a two-fold meaning, as both "ARTificial SILK and ARTistic SILK. We love it!
These particular fabrics are from the 1920s and were reclaimed from a now defunct clothing factory in New York City. Both the print quality and fabric are super fine- if we could only have found more!
Only 7 were made of this design.
100% Rayon (Art Silk) . Very soft and makes a beautiful knot!
